Radiation Protection Center
Radiation Science is a source of tools and Technologies that help to address some of the most pressing issue of our time, human health, food and agriculture, industry, energy and environmental management. In many cases the information gathered by applying radiation based technologies simply cannot be obtained through any other means, nor can impressive results.
People are exposed to radiation in everyday life from a variety of natural and human-generated sources. Radiation protection is defined as the means and protection of people, other living things and the environment from the harmful effects of exposure to ionising radiation.
Increasingly complex radiation-protection legislation has exerted additional pressure on industry around the globe in areas ranging from the handling of radioactive materials and mitigation of radioactive contamination to the disposal and recycling of technologies, such as ionisation smoke detectors. Every radiation-protection challenge is guided by the need for companies to ensure legislative compliance at every stage of an operation involving exposure to radiation, through appropriate permit-application and authority-notification procedures.
We provide the following services
- Conduct radiation survey and site investigation and provide treatments for Radiation Exposure and Contamination.
- Organize periodical radiation protection courses and programs to help RSO pass the Local Accreditation Examination and maintain their radiation protection licensee valid.
- Provide consultation regarding the radiation safety regulations to support organizations with the publications of radiation protection.
- Develop methods and techniques for radioactive decontamination depending on the status and level of radiation.
